1.C.F.C.A. consists of boaters and non-boaters.
2. Club officers will consist of: 1. President 2. Vice President/Treasurer 3. Tournament Director/Secretary. Club officers are voted into office at the end of the banquet. Holding office is a voluntary one year term.
SECTION 2 - CLUB MEETING
1. The yearly meeting/dinner will be held after the championship tournament prior to the start of the new season. Suggested meeting agenda is as follows:

2. We will vote on lakes to fish the meeting prior to the tournament. If a lake cannot be determine we will draw from a hat.
3. There will be a monthly meeting the Tues. before the scheduled tournament at 7pm at The Pizza House. The meeting will be to pay entry fees and pair up between the boaters and non-boaters. Final lake determination will be made by the officers at the meeting (failsafe for weather factors). Start time and stop times will be determined by club vote (majority).
4. Non-boaters must be paired up with a boater prior to pairing up with another boater.
SECTION 3 - MEMBERSHIP
1. Membership is open to everyone but may be revoked due to rules/law violations as determined by membership vote (majority). Membership dues are $15.00 per year includes your spouse and children under 18, October 1st through September 30th. Dues are to be paid during the yearly meeting or prior to fishing any tournaments and are part of the club funds.
SECTION 4 – OFFICERS AND DUTIES
1. President: Maintains control and conducts all club business at the meeting. Plans and directs tournaments to include start times (if delayed due to weather conditions) and makes every effort to ensure that all members are in the weigh-in line on time.
2. VP/Treas.: Maintains all club funds and checking accounts. Presents the prize money to the winning members. Maintains the C.F.C.A. records.
3. TD/Sec: Will control weigh-ins, measure fish for lake and state limits. Weighs all fish except their own. Takes minutes of all club meeting. Controls the club newsletter. The newsletter will consist of past tournament results, tournament times and locations, and member standings. The newsletter will be mailed or e-mailed to each member at least 1 week before the next tournament
4. All: Assume duties of other officers in their absence. Review safety conditions of the ramp and the lake the club voted to fish. Ensures the weigh-in site is clean before departing the lake area. Club officers will have final authority over protests at club tournaments. Protests must be made within 30 minutes of the close of weigh-in. The club officers decision will be final. Club officers will decide on yearly meeting location/menu/agenda and inform club members as soon as arrangements are made. Club officers will also be responsible for any fund raising activities for the year, with membership help of course.
SECTION 5 – TOURNAMENTS
1. There is one tournament held each month, with the exception of December, for a total of 11 tournaments in a year. Top 10 tournaments will be used to make up the year-end tournament standings for top ten and angler of the year. There is a 5 fish bag limit for club tournaments.
2. January will be the first tournament of the year. Each person fishing may weigh-in up to 5 fish each day.
3. The club will have a Top Ten Classic in conjunction with the October Two-day tournament The Top 10 finishers from the year prior qualify to fish and the winner will be the Official Club Champion for that season. The top points finisher from the prior year will be named Angler of the Year (AOY). Both the Champion and AOY will be recognized with an official club trophy.
4. A club tournament date may change due to unpredictable circumstances. Tournaments may be cancelled due to bad weather or lake conditions. If a tournament is cancelled due to weather or lake conditions, the make-up tournament will be the following Saturday – same time, same lake if possible, or the club officers will determine the lake.
5. All fish must be caught on a rod and reel using artificial bait. No live bait of any kind will be aboard a tournament boat during tournament hours. No trolling allowed. Only Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Kentucky Spotted bass will be weighed in. Trophy fish can be kept for taxidermy. A trophy fish is considered 7lbs or larger. No fishing allowed within 50 yards of another member unless invited to do so. Trailering is allowed. Start time will be honorary.
6. Tournament fee will be $25.00 per person fishing. All tournament fees will be collected at the meeting or at the boat ramp. Places will be paid according to the payout chart and leftover monies will revert back to the club. Pay back for each $25 entry will be as follows
$25 entry fee
$10 goes to the heaviest stringer
$10 goes to the Charity of the month
$5 to Big Bass Winner

8. Each member must weigh-in his own catch for the day. However, in EMERGENCIES ONLY, a member may weigh-in another member’s fish ONLY if the other member is unable to attend weigh-in. In the event of a tie, the big bass will break the tie. If this is also a tie, the Tournament Director will flip a coin to break the tie.
10. Dead fish rule: every effort will be made to keep fish alive prior to and during weigh-in. Each dead fish weighed will have 8oz deducted from total weight
11. All club tournaments will be within a 100-mile radius of Clyde. All fishing will be done on voted body of water, day, and time. No alcohol will be consumed during the tournament hours. Non-boaters are responsible to contact a boater for each month, there is no limit on how many times you can fish with someone. Boaters are encouraged to ensure our non-boaters are taken care of before other boaters pair up.
12. All additional club funds at the end of the year (September) will be used for the club as deemed fit by the club officers (for dinner and/or off-set hotel expense of 2 day tournament, any fund raising events…).
SECTION 6 – STANDINGS
1. Your top 10 tournaments will be used to make up the year-end standings for top ten and angler of the year. Standings will be determined by total weight of all fish caught in your top ten tournaments. Club standings will be updated monthly after each tournament and be part of newsletter.
2. Each Top 10 finisher will receive a certificate stating where they placed for the year. Certificates will also be awarded for Biggest Bass and Heaviest Stringer. All awards will be handed out at the October meeting.
SECTION 7 – MISCELLANEOUS
1. Each member will get an updated copy of the by-laws with the newsletter when necessary. If a member would like to see a change made to the by-laws, that person may propose the change at the October yearly meeting, or mailed to the club president any time for discussion at the meeting. Any changes that are passed will take effect after the two day tournament.
2. If for any reason the bylaws do not cover an area, then they will be discussed and decided on between the elected officers fishing the tournament.
3. A guest may fish in a club tournament one time, but are not eligible for prizes. Family members may fish with you, anytime, at no cost but are not eligible for any prizes. Spouses and children of paid member are eligible members and may elect to fish tournament, but must pay the entry fee.

2. The members present at the meeting will choose up to three lakes per month to vote on. The lake that receives the majority of the votes will be the lake fished by the club that month. During the voting, if there is a tie, we will have a re-vote to break the tie. No lake will be fished more than once in a six month period. No Lake Kirby or Lake Abilene types will be voted on.

7. A big bass side pot will accumulate from tournament to tournament until a member wins.
Once won, the pot will start over at zero and monies from the next tournament will begin to build the pot up once again. A member wins the pot by weighing in the biggest bass 7 pounds or larger. This pot will not be weight progressive.
